Fists of irony
[yanked from seaya's journal:]

Things are looking grim for the structure of American democracy -- these bozos seem to think they can pass a law that says Congress can overturn Supreme Court decisions. (Bill text)

Of course, this would be overturned as unconstitutional -- by the Supreme Court. We could find ourselves in a nasty fight if this passes Congress.

It's also not particularly reassuring about the intelligence of our elected officials -- it seems to be straight out of Joseph Heller's Catch-22 playbook.

I'm waiting on a rather long and tedious compile process to get a result I don't trust [nor need] for a conference paper due tomorrow afternoon.

It is way too late to be at the lab. I want to go home.

Current Mood: er, bored and tired
